Need advice for finding staff

Hey Startups!

My business partner and I have been attempting to start a mobile mechanic business. We have the tap through of the "app" that we developed with a local (Austin, TX) company, and have all legal paperwork in place.

However, over the past few months we have been at a stand still due to not being successful at finding local mechanics to speak with us about the details for the mechanic part. Any time we have spoken with someone, whether its consumer or industry, people have said nothing but good things about our idea. But we're both at a standstill because we have yet to find a reliable mechanic to either stick it out, or give us advice.

We've posted to craigslist, gone to the local colleges, posted to reddit, and now here to look for mechanics. We're looking for mechanics who can do anything from advise us on how to move forward, to coming on board as a potential director position and develop this business with us.

When we first started this, we had someone. Unfortunately, as most of you probably have gone through, we no longer have the original mechanic. We have been talking to a couple of people, and they are just falling through.

So our questions are, does anyone on here know how to better find someone? Or does anyone on here know of mechanics in Austin (or anywhere else, really) willing to speak with us? Also, how many of you have been in a similar situation? Meaning, how long did you wait to find that "fit" or someone you needed for your startup?

Any advice is welcome! Please ask any questions you may have to us too!

We appreciate it!
