How is the reliability of V7 II's?

Hi all.

I'm very interested to get a V7 II as a commuter bike for my daily journey into London.

Most of the reviews and stuff I've read online has suggested they are well made and pretty reliable. However I met a chap a few weeks back who was riding a V7 II stone and got speaking to him about it. He said he's had constant issues with his bike, clutch cables breaking, problems with the engine, all sorts. He strongly recommended I reconsider.

I just wondered what other V7 II owner's experiences had been? How have you found yours?
