UFC 2 Decision system is fucking retarded

So im in a career fight and i pretty much land countless successful body kicks which cause him to bend over etc , multiple head kicks that stun. I know him down 3 times and get on top and punch his head in but he recovers. But he takes me down 3 times and wins the decision. what the fuck is wrong with this game ?
