Thoughts about remaking a film

I was looking for thoughts about remaking/reimagining an already established franchise film. I wrote a script that shares a lot of similarities with a particular Bond film. After noticing this, I am considering making the script a reimagining of the film. Not a scene for scene plot for plot remake, but very similar similar. It will share a lot of the plot and characters under a different setting. The script in question is a crime comedy in the vain of a Shane Black film. It will most definitely be recognized as having a shared plot by those who have seen both films.

I was wondering what the legalities are about this? Will I come under fire from the studios/owners of hypothetically this film blows up? It will 100% have my own style and not just be Bond with a different outfit.

Also has this been done before? I know there are similarities between Point Break and The Fast and the Furious but are there any other pair of films that are in essence the same film?
