How to refute "faith healers" and members of the "Christian Science" cult.

Many people who call themselves Christian believe that people shouldn't seek doctors or use medicine. They claim that God will heal all the ailments of believers, and/or that seeking a doctor indicates that you have no faith in God. However, these absurd beliefs are condemned in scripture!

Ecclesiasticus 38:1- Honour the physician for the need thou hast of him: for the most High hath created him

In here, Jesus Ben Sirach, inspired by the Holy Spirit, implores us to honor physicians because their profession and skill comes from God.

Ecclesiasticus 38:4- The most High hath created medicines out of the earth, and a wise man will not abhor them

In this passage, the author says that it would be unwise to abhor medicine that God created! Even if it wasn't inspired, one must admit that a religious Jew wrote these passages.
