Neo Geo Emulation Help

I can't get Neo Geo Games to run on my Raspberry Pi 3 running Recalbox 4.0 beta5. I have tried putting the neogeo.zip BIOS file in both the /share/bios and /share/roms/neogeo folders (and both at the same time), and when I start up my RP3, Neo Geo shows up in Emulation Station and shows all the zipped roms I've downloaded and placed into /share/roms/neogeo. When I select any of them the screen goes black for a few seconds, then comes directly back to the list of games. I've tried all of the emulators and cores available for the Neo Geo on this Recalbox distribution, but they all exhibit the same behavior. Anybody know a fix for this problem? I really need to get some Last Blade in my life soon!
