Microsoft - just... just burn in hell
Eh. This is fucking ridiculous. For last ~7 years I've been more technologically aware I saw as Windows is starting to suck more and more. I am a long time Linux user and I mostly use it, because reasons. Biggest change was just before W8 release, when I was using it's test version. And that sun of dog shit decided my password was "not right" and changed it on it's own (I still, after 3 years of IT high school and 2 of IT university have no fucking idea why and how). Later on when I "downgraded" to W7 it was... ok. Until it decided to fuck up an update. And tried to repeat it. OVER and over again! Boot up took (and I shit you not) around 45 minutes! So I stickled to my Fedora machine. Later on I bought a laptop with Windows 10. Was not so bad (except parts that were terrible), but it sometimes decided to just fuck with me. It once installed an update, and welcomed me with a fucking message "All your files and some other shit is where it was" - I almost had an heart attack at that point. Then random slowdowns commend, long booting time, and something that I could never stand, I hate - that waiting period between seeing your desktop and actually being able to use computer. For 7 years when I was using Linux I have never needed to wait. NEVER. And I've used at one point a laptop with fucking 512 MB of ram and single core CPU@1.2GHz! And that had Ubuntu 10.04! With GNOME 2! Could barely handle Windows XP, despite it was about 9 years older. And then was today. I was doing some work, and then my system crippled. Well, that's ok - quick reboot will fix it. I thought naivety. Unfortunately it decided to install fucking updates. Jesus fucking Christ! What if I had 10% of battery, no power and needed to shut it down before it's dead, or there is a storm coming or whatever? Or perhaps I don't want to install them? I found a way to reboot without update, but it crippled AGAIN. Next reboot and what I see? Installing updates. God - it took so long. Finally - I try to get back to work and what? Crippled! Again! I thought - that's it - I'm installing Fedora. After a few hours fighting with UEFI from shitting over everything that is not signed by microshit I finally got it installed. Ok. Now I'm home - I thought naively. Installed updates, needed to reboot and what? Fedora does not start. NO bloody idea why. After another shit load of time I got to the bottom of it. A little tip for UEFI developers - when I [user] install new boot manager while old one is still there that means I WANT FUCKING NEW BOOT MANAGER. Or at least ask me which one to use or do I want to keep it or replace, and not just ignore it. Unfortunately Fedora still did not worked (something about root directory). I'm sick and tired of all this shit hole. Tomorrow I install Ubuntu - see if that works. I will find a way to get Linux there. As for Microsoft - there is no way they can come out of that - just stop working and allow SERIOUS systems to run, not that NSA client you distribute.
