Question about pc vs console COD

So i used to play alot of console cod and it seemed like it was all aim battles and people running around getting in gun fights and it was fun AF. I got blops 2 and mw3 for pc and very quickly realized that every1 just sits in a corner on PC playing for streaks. Has call of duty changed in the way people play it or is this just common for pc? I really regret buying the games now due to how boring it is even in TDM
