Developments in Marie Ann Watson Disappearance

Update

Hi all. As many of you know, I posted about my mother here.

The thread is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/4aqi0p/marie_ann_watson_the_case_police_were_afraid_to/

Also, I posted about the possibility of the relationship between my mother and Diane Schulte, a missing person from nearby Nampa, ID: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/schulte_diane.html

I just wanted to update folks and let you know a few things that have been happening.

I did manage to get through to a Detective at the Nampa, ID Police Department. She has been incredibly gracious and kind. While they have not been able to find a specific link, it's early and they are still looking. They need a few things to be confirmed, before they can do much to move forward. However, it has brought the case back into awareness, so this is a great thing!

Next, I have tried on multiple ocassions to speak to the FBI. In the past, I have been told, curtly, "This is a State matter, Ma'am" and literally hung up on. Today, though, I spoke to a very kind young man who not only heard me out, but wrote it down and promised to pass it on to his higher up (he himself investigates White Collar crime, so it's not his area).

Also, I finally got a News outlet from Idaho to listen to me. He has to do some footwork and look into it (understandable, obviously), but he actually listened and heard me out through the whole entire thing. That's pretty huge, because others have completely ignored me.

So while none of these updates are, "It's solved!" they are all things that I find hopeful and I wanted to let people know that this forum, specifically, has really helped me to feel supported enough to keep trucking and keep calling and keep bothering people.

I appreciate you all so, so much. Thank you. Please know that, even if you haven't contributed in some super specific way... you have helped give me the strength to bear up under what has felt all my life as insurmountable odds. That may seem small to you, but it's huge to me.

Thank you!
