Membership Cards in Samsung Pay

I moved from the Note Edge to the Note 7 so this is my first time using Samsung Pay. The credit cards have worked consistently for me, but the membership cards I've entered only work some of the time. I'm not sure why, since all of them just display barcodes.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
