DH Specific Vs. Enduro

Hi Everyone; I'm here for some advice... I recently reignited my interest in DH after years of Cross Country and am very interested in getting back into it. With some of the advancements in the last 5:10 (Best Shoes Ever) years; I am really torn if I should ditch my CC ride (Scott Spark) for an Enduro... or pick up a DH Specific bike and keep the cross country. I'm keeping my eyes on PB for both with a flexible budget of 2k I value peoples opinion.. please share your thoughts and if you have a bike you would like to sell feel free to PM me.
