Not knowing sucks

As an associate that is going to be one of the people in the back office being eliminated , it really sucks. They come in announce that the position is being eliminated and just leave you hanging. Where do we go from here. You're told to think about your options. But not told WHAT those options are. I know what I'd like to do. But it's a level A job. and their max pay is $17.55. I'm u dear that amt. so would I keep my pay if I go to that job... Or does that job have to be what they offer? I really don't want to be any type of supervisor. Been there done that. Just want to do a job, go home and not worry about what I'm gonna have to be doing the next day. So question to the other office associates that went thru the change and went to other positions. How did the position come about? Did you request it? Management give you options to choose from? Curious on what's to come next..... Thanks!
