Question: light weight boots?
Hi friends!
I recently bought two pairs of Palladium pampa tactical boots, one for my mother and one for myself. It seems as if they have changed their supplier/manufacturer or something, because they are much weaker than their reputation implies. My mother wore them to a food pantry garden where she volunteers a couple of times before several seams ripped. She exchanged them for a new pair, and those seams ripped within one use as well. We're talking very light usage here, nothing even remotely as intense as hiking. (I have had no seam rippage simply because I've not worn mine out yet)
I'm planning to return both pairs but this leaves us with a need for a decent multipurpose hiking boot. I was hoping you guys could rec some hiking boots that would be comfortable and that hold up well? (ie hiking, gardening, farm work etc)
Bonus points for:
-
waterproof
-
light weight
-
canvas upper??? (leather is heavy and gets SO HOT wtf)
-
good soles!!! (vibram?)
We are specifically looking for boots that are midheight (higher than just above ankle) but if you really rec one that's lower, it's worth looking into!
Thanks in advance, looking forward to your recs!!!
