Married at First Sight Australian Edition Season 3 Episode 1 (link to view inside)
Some notes about the Australian version if you've never seen it before:
In Australia, a couple has to know each for a month and one day before they can get legally married, which means these contestants can not legally get married on this show. They still do the ceremony to give it the sense of commitment that the show's format entails.
Other differences from the American version include the number of couples. In seasons 1 and 2 there were four couples each season, and this season there are five, including a gay couples. There are also fewer episodes. The first season had six episode, and the second had seven. This season may have more with the addition of another couple.
The Australian version also uses neuropsychology to make matches, as well as using a pheromone test, where the contestants smell items from their potential matches as another compatibility category. They also have a dinner where all the couples involved in the experiment get to meet each other and talk about how their relationships are going, which I wish the American version would adopt.
Lastly, the success rate of the Australian version is (as of now) 2 successful couples out 8 matches, compared with the American version 2 out 9, so not much different. Finding love is hard, no matter how you do it.
The first three episodes are going to be shown on three consecutive days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. So there will be a new thread each day, but the thread for the third episode will be an all encompassing thread.
So, two couples got married on this episode and I think from the time they met each other until the end of the episode I had a smile on my face the entire time.
Here is the link to the episode. Just a note in case you are sensitive to this kind of thing, but they curse (or swear, or cuss) and do not bleep it out. Another thing is that I have adblocker, so I don't see any ads when I use that link, but there's a countdown and a button that says "Proceed to video". Clink the link, and the video page appears, then click the play button. With adblocker, I don't get any popups, but if you get popups, just know that the video is legit and all you have to do is go back to the video's page.
I highly recommend you watch the video before reading any further.

Last time
The episode starts with Zoe and Alex, the only successful couple from season 1, getting an ultrasound. They experienced a miscarriage before, so it is pretty special for them to be having this baby. But, on to this season's couples!
Keller and Nicole: I'm going to start with part of the speech Keller gave at the reception:
If you want something to last forever, you treat it differently. You shield it, you protect it, you never abuse it, you don't expose it to the elements; you don't make it common or ordinary. If it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new: It becomes special, because you made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious every day as time goes by. I look forward to what our future holds and where this wild ride will take us.
In my opinion, this should be the advice given to every couple who participates in this show. It is a beautifully worded sentiment for any marriage or relationship, and is especially poignant for MaFS. It also speaks to Keller's character, as seen most prominently with Nicole's father. It was so great that Nicole's father, who immediately wrote off Keller because of his tattoos, would see his true nature through Keller's conversations with him and mannerisms. The producers seemed to focus a bit more on him this episode so we didn't get much of Nicole, but she definitely seems sweet. The moment when her parents surprised her was touching, and the fact that she didn't get hung up on Keller's tattoos also speaks to the goodness of her character. I have high hopes for this couples.
Monica and Mark: When the experts and Monica herself, were talking about what a perfectionist she was, I was worried. Someone who self-describes as a perfectionist does not seem like a good person to be a participant in this show. Then when they showed Mark as being a fan of comic books and gaming, I just said, oh, no! and thought this match was doomed from the start. Their initial reactions to each other were fabulous! It was great to see them immediately connect and start conversing with each right away, to the point that they were preventing the officiant from starting the actual wedding. Their attraction for each other and similar personalities have carried them through the wedding and the reception, and hope that bodes well for their future together, but I'm still a bit worried about Monica and what hang-ups she might have and whether she'll nitpick things about Mark, particularly his comic books and gaming. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if her overly-informed bridesmaid has already told her about those things.
