37 Years Old. Starting From Scratch.

I met with a financial planner today. I want some second opinions. Here is my situation: I basically cashed out most of my retirement to start a small business. We are finally doing somewhat ok after 3 years of living off of credit cards. I have pretty much doubled my yearly income to about $100k. I have paid off all significant debt besides my mortgage. We have not increased our expenses significantly and are living off of about 60K per year. What can I do to catch up from a retirement standpoint? I am fully aware that I will be working until I am at least 68 years old and I accept that. I'd like to minimize my tax burden as much as possible as well.

Should I go for:

Simple IRA SEP

Where can I put extra money after I max out contributions? (If there is any?)

Am I doomed to a life of browsing r/frugal?

Thank you in advance for any advice.
