How to download AM2R

Hi I'm new to the Metroid series, I've seen many people talking about how great this is and I thought I would try it out. But I can't find a safe one and the ones on the forums aren't working or have confusing steps. Could anyone tell me how they got it? (Or is the download down cuz of Nintendo?)
