Midwife says baby is head down .. Already

I'm only 29+2 .. Is this normal?! Midwife says it is but I always like to double check with my bumpers ;) also wondering if this means I'll go into labor earlier than 40 weeks or if it's completely irrelevant. I just always thought the baby doesn't turn head down until like 37-38 weeks. Any insight would be awesome! Thanks xoxo
