Can someone explain the new relic, radiant relic, void trace thing for me?

So I'm a pretty veteran player in Warframe, MR19, and I haven't really followed warframe for quite some time. All I heard was that the void was destroyed or something, so I came back to check out the game. But now, I am totally lost on how the new system works. Can someone ELI5 for me? I have looked through wiki, and tried to do some research, but I'm still a bit confused.
