Why do people enjoy going on /r/niceguys?

Don't get me wrong, what 'nice guys' do are incredibly creepy, but a vast majority of screenshots on there show clear mental disabilities on the side of the 'nice guys' (at least based off what I learned in psychology in HS and college), it doesn't seem right to make fun of them like this, if anything the effort expended in laughing at them should be used to help them.

What are your opinions on this reddit? It makes me kind of sad to see people with mental issues turned into jokes. Do people on there realize that these people have mental issues, or do they just not care?
