First time playing Ultima VII, need help to run it

Hi, do I play it on exult or dosbox? I dowloaded exult but thought the resolution made too much visible, and got some audio bug as well (before entering the house with the corpse an infinite beeping sound). The problem with dosbox, beside the resolution is that i get a black horizontal bar on the botton of the screen (30% of the screen is covered by it). What do you veterans recommend?
