International Rescue Committee??

Hey y'all! So a representative from the International Rescue Committee came to talk to my class today. They gave general info about the organization and volunteer/internship opportunities. I hope to get into a social work program for fall 2017 after I graduate undergrad (Majors: Psych & Behavior Analysis w/ counseling minor) in May 2017. I also volunteer on a crisis hotline. In the mean time, I would like to volunteer as much as I can! So I have a few questions:

  1. Has anyone heard of this organization or have completed an internship/ volunteered there?
  2. If so, did you enjoy your experience?
  3. Any other suggestions on what may provide great experience for a hopeful soon-to-be social work student?? (Like seriously ANY helpful suggestions would be wonderful)
