Metal Gear Rising: All rankings deleted and cant start very hard game anymore. Can I get these back?

Hey guys.

I recently beat the game on hard, and began my very hard playthrough. I forgot to buy defensive offense after prologue though, so I figured I would restart really quick. However, it turns out I cannot start a new game on very hard. This is really bugging me. I then found out all my rankings were erased :/

My VR missions and other unlockables are still here though. Also my save file for the first mission on very hard. This makes no sense. Can anyone help me?
