I know I'm not the only one thinking this, so I'll just write about the new layout here.

I don't know who on the team I should be addressing this to, so I decided to make a post about r/splatoon's new layout.

The new layout isn't as good as the old one.

To be honest, I'm bad at giving criticism and I feel like a total ass in doing so because someone did work on this new layout, easy or not. I totally get that having a new design after having an old one for a long time is refreshing. With that said, I think the layout should be worked on more before making it the "official" layout if you will.

Don't be too alarmed, these are small nitpicks.

The first thing bothering me about it is the new Snoo. I did like the old one better. It had the iconic eyes and hair, and it resembled Snoo a lot more than the creepy squid we have now.

The text in the textbox background could also say something else instead of "Remember the human". I think I know what you're trying to say with this, that to follow rules and be respectful, but this seems a little arbitrary to have as a sentence. Maybe have something else like, for example, "Remember to stay fresh and follow rules".

The other thing is what I noticed thanks to someone commenting on it earlier; where did a portion of the Splatfest themes go? Was it not compatible with the new layout or was it decided to remove altogether? If the latter, please reconsider.

I'm sure there's more changes that I haven't noticed, but not all is bad with this layout. Specifically, the buttons and post layouts look much more professional and crisp. So if you keep that and just bring back the old Snoo and Splatfest themes back, we should be good in the meantime.

Again, I'm not trying to offend who made the new layout, but a lot of people, including myself, prefer to have the old one back. :)
