Is there a way to rebind level up for abilities to "Alt+QWER"?

I never liked CTRL+QWER since it feels weird moving my pinky down to CTRL with my big hands. ALT+QWER is much better since I can just move my thumb over easily. In League I was able to do this with no problem but Dota seems like I have to "enter level up" mode with O and then choose the ability or use CTRL+QWER. Both of these options feel really weird and for some reason I can't bind ALT as Learn Ability on it's own, it needs to be combo'd with something which doesn't make any sense.

Anyone have any ideas on how to work around this?
