Rate my D&D campaign setting

Working on this as my next campaign, needs to be fleshed out with characters and locations and some encounters, maybe some deeper conflicts in the plot. Here we go.

The characters are a mercenary team that have been hired to fight in a war far away from anywhere important to them, in fact they left the continent to get to the job.

They're being payed big money but they only got the small initial payment to have them transported there, and a small budget to buy some new gear, the team already has their basic gear ready for fighting.

its a war between a large orc tribe that has employed wildlife and other beings into their army, and some dwarves that have built heavy siege craft and have used their mining skills to build fortification

The characters are there strictly on business and are not there for any duty or political affiliations

Any civilian that diddnt abandon the area was either killed as collateral damage or was drafted into the dwarf army if trusted, or enslaved by the orcs.

There is scattered wildlife that has become used to the two armies fighting on their lands, and have grown tired of it. Wildlife has learned to act simply as hostile any invaders of their lands.
