Why are there so many Gujarati immigrants in the UK and US compared to other Indian ethnicities?

So, both the US and UK have fairly large Asian Indian populations, but those populations seems to be proportionally more Gujarati than the Indian population at-large, at according to this article about the UK Gujarati population and this article about the US Gujarati population. Is there any particularly reason why Gujaratis apparently have had more of a history of immigration than other Indians? Is it because of factors specific to the US and UK? Is this high Gujarati population seen in other countries where there are relatively large Indian populations, like Canada, Australia, and the Caribbean?
