Symptoms of Gyno 9 Months of Fin; Fin unlikely the cause?

Finasteride

I was righting up a post before but it got ridiculously long for really no reason, so i'll keep this as brief as possible:

  • Started fin December 2nd 2015.
  • No side effects, positive results 9 months into treatment
  • 2 days ago, woke up with a very tender/painful right nipple, also bruised looking
  • 2 days later, tenderness/pain/discolouration all disipate and gone. Left with very small lump under upper part of right nipple. Slightly pronouced, not really noticeable, possibly if you were looking for it

Now it's only been 3 days total, so perhaps this is premature, but i think it's worth noting regardless of what happens down the line.

I feel as if there are 3 possibilities (in order of what i think is most likely):

  1. Upped my dosage of Bupropion (brand name: Wellbutrin) 2 weeks ago from 300mg/day to 450mg/day. Gyno is a noted side effect of bupropion, quite rare but is listed.

  2. 9 months into Fin (just started my 10th bottle) has caused Gynecamstia to start forming and what i'm experincing is the first stages of it.

  3. I fell asleep on my chest awkwardly or fell asleep on a physical object. I have struggled with back issues (seeing a PT) and she suggested i try sleeping in different positions to keep my back straight as possible, has led me to trying some very awkward sleeping positions i'm not used to, even waking up some mornings with very sore shoulders and/or neck. That combined with the fact i fall asleep listening to my ipod, not completely out of the realm of possibility of saying i fell asleep on something digging into my chest/nipple. (REAL unlikely, but possible)

Also worth noting i've had slightly puffy nipples since i was 16/17. very easily dealt with through exercise/weight lifting. So it's something i've really been keeping an eye on. I can say with about 100% certainty that i had no lumps or genuine signs of Gyno before that night.

It's only been 3 days, so this is real early to making any assumptions. I have an appointment with my doctor and will discuss things with her.

Makes more sense to me that bupropion is the cause, but we will see. I feel like if it was fin, it would have been more gradual and maybe creep up on me. That being said, I have responded really well to Finasteride and have no plans of stopping. I've been looking into nolvadex and similar medications to get rid of the gyno, so i'm optimistic.

I'll be sure to update in the comming weeks.

TL;DR - Symptoms of gyno 9 months into Fin 1mg/daily; virtually appeared overnight, but am within 3 days of it's appearence. also started a higher dose of a anti depressant with a noted side effect of gyno <2 weeks ago, could be either medications. Checking with doctor and will update in the future
