Slight CPU issue with Nextbit Robin

I recently installed CM 13 on my Nextbit Robin. Now I've heard the battery life isn't that great, and it's generally worse than the HTC One M8 it has replaced. However, I noticed that the A57 cluster's minimum speed was set at 633MHz rather than 384MHz. The A53 clusters were properly set at 384MHz. This is on a fresh install of CM. So I changed it to 384MHz (the lowest it can go), and battery life appears to have improved quite a bit.
