Missions and the Goodness of People
I've been thinking a bit about the various mission experiences that I have heard. I never went myself (I guess I was never as TBM as I thought). I've heard that if you are sent to Brazil, plan on seeing someone dead or being killed. Drug cartel controlled portions of Mexico, the same. Missionaries are dropped into incredibly dangerous places, but rarely are killed or severely injured. I have no reason to believe that a deity is protecting them (who can blame him though, he's really busy finding keys). I take this as some evidence that the vast majority of people are good, want peace and work towards creating that peaceful world they want.
