Didn't pass placement test and now in algebra none credit class. How much does this mess up aspiring dreams to become a computer engineer?

Guess I was just really rusty. I did take calc in JS senior year and had an A but got a 2 on AP exam and now failed the placement test twice. So don't know what to do now. How much will this set me back ? Any advice
