Why can a female decide to keep an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy without the males consent, making the male financially responsible? Why does the male have no legal recourse to get out of financial responsibility for the child?

Why does only the female have all the legal power to decide hers and the male's situation in regards to responsibilities for the child?

I understand this sounds super Red Pill and I apologize for that and hope this doesn't offend anyone. I'm honestly asking out of genuine curiosity.
