I've decided to make a Mini ATX build featuring the XFX 460 and the Athlon 880k
TL:DR - Making a PC with the RX 460 and Athlon 880k, stick around for benchmarks if you're curious.
I have an FM2+ motherboard lying around, so I've decided to make a little PC that can serve as my own custom Steam Machine. I'll be putting it in the living room and I'll also be taking it around with me since I can no longer take my main PC with me, as it is far too heavy. I've decided to go with the 460 because it's cheap, power efficient, and does 1080p at acceptable frames. Plus it's small. I'll also be putting in the 880k, although I was originally going to put in an 845 or 860k and a CoolerMaster T2 Fan. What I like about the 880k (I already own one) is that it comes with a very premium fan (I'd say it's at least worth $20) and it's very cheap. An 860k and a T2 cooler would be about $100, the same exact price as the 880k. If anyone is looking for a CPU on par or better than Haswell or Skylake i3s, get an 880k, especially since it's cheaper, has a premium cooler, and can overclock. Once I've assembled this PC, I'll post pictures and benchmarks for anyone curious about the RX 460 and 880k.
