[Recruiting][A3][Milsim][ACST]Royal Australian Expeditionary Force - Australian Based Milsim
Before I go onto all the information about us I just want to clarify that we are in fact a small growing unit and are in now way shape or form perfect. We are a small tight knit unit that like to have a laugh while still doing fun but serious operations, we are friendly to new members and are looking for people with similar mindsets to come join us.
Country: Australia + Internation Members
Timezone: ACST, Australian Central Standard Time
Type of Unit: Casual Milsim/Realism
Operation times: Every Saturday at 6pm ACST
Active Members: 20 members and growing
Who Are We?
Sometimes referred to as RAEF we are a Arma III Casual Milsim community that believe in having fun while getting the job done. We believe that Military Simulation can be done without certain aspects of the real military such as addressing people by their rank or calling them “Sir”.
What do we strive to create?
We aspire to create a fun Milsim environment for new or seasoned Milsim players, however we are Australian based and look after our Aussie members before our international members as the largest part of our community is Australian.
What sort of missions do we do?
Almost all of our missions are designed dynamically by a dedicated Zeus operator. The operator must adhere to a certain set of rules laid out by the leadership of RAEF.
Before every operation a briefing is written that the Zeus operator must stick to but they are still allowed to be creative and add things that aren’t on the briefing.
Current Zeus operators:
Lt. A.Jansen
SSGT. E.Anderson
How often do we play?
We hold our primary operations on Saturday at 6pm Australian Central Standard Time (ACST). However we generally hold impromptu missions during the week with a small amount of people.
How often do you have to attend?
If you wish to be a part of 1st platoon and maintain your role of choice you will have to attend at least 2 out of 4 operations. If you don’t attend 2 out of 4 you will be moved to the reserves where you have very little attendance requirements however you will not get a choice in what role you take. However if you dont feel like playing or cant play for whatever reason just say so and we would be happy to allow you to maintain your place.
What sort of rules do members have to adhere to?
A list of our rules are available here.
How big is the mod pack and where can i get it from?
The mod pack is much smaller than most Milsim groups out there. It is under 12gb and features a variety of mods that add to the experience.
The mod pack can be found on steam. Once you have been accepted it will be sent to you.
What sort of mods do you use?
We have 40+ mods however they are all relatively small. The major ones we use include:
-ACE 3
-TFAR 0.9.8
-SMA Weapons
-Aussie pack
-Kunduz, Afghanistan
Do you have a server and teamspeak?
Yes, we have a 24/7 dedicated server that runs a training mission when it is not being used for operations. We plan on adding missions like Invade & Annex during the week so that people can have fun when a Zeus operator is not on.
Yes, we have a teamspeak. We use the teamspeak to link up to Task Force Arrowhead Radio as well as playing other games such as Rainbow Six: Siege.
If I am part of another group can I take part?
No, if you want to play with us you have to be a part of our group. Even if the operation times of your other group don’t interfere. However clans on other games are fine.
How many members do we have?
The most up to date list of member was have can be found here.
How Do I join?
To join all you have to do is go to the Join us now! page on our website and fill out the application. However I recommend you visit the About Us page before you apply because we only want people who are ready to fully dedicate themselves to fill it out.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for anyone who is willing to join a small unit and wants to have fun but still be mature at the same time.
We have many roles available for a variety of different people. If you want to be boots on the ground then we have a variety of roles available from Grenadier to Medic. We are also looking to recruit pilots who can fly Transport as well as CAS using helicopters. Once we fill infantry we will open up an armored column as well as a Force Recon section so that people of all interests can join. Have a look at our structure below to see what is available.
Now that is all over, I hope to see you soon.
Signed, LT A.Jansen, Platoon Commander, 1st Platoon
