Should I go to Oxbridge or Drama School and be an actor?

*btw I am 16

So, i have just finished my GCSES and am now starting that scary time of looking at unis. I'm the kind of person who changes her mind a lot, so I have scared ny parents as time has become more serious about ny career choices but I can typically do whatever I put my mind to, as long as I WANT to do it.

I am oxbridge material, moreso than drama school material as I am only joining a youth theatre now at 16 years old in order to gain experience. For someone with no connections to the industry, drama school seems the best bet and for the past 2 years I have had my heart and stomach fixed on it.

People tell me to get a degree and then go to drama school (like tom hiddleston) but I dont want to end up in student debt unable to pay drama school fees on the offchance I do get in to one (I am aiming for the top ones, as they are obviously good and claim they recruit based on potential and talent rather than technical experience). I also dont know what degree I would even want to do, NOT english literature - love it as a school subject and a hobby, but for me its not worth it.

I do get excited about the prospect of being around intelligent people at the drama societies at university (but thats assuming I get into a good uni, which I probably wont if I dont even WANT TO.) I am keen on drama school, its just my school and parents who are pressuring me because im on an academic scholarship and the school might take it away.

My A Levels are: Chemistry, Drama, English Lit and AS Maths.

I WANT TO ACT BUT:

What if i dont get into drama school 5 years in a row?

What if i dont get into drama school after uni?

Going to RADA, LAMDA, CSSD, Drama Centre it Guildhall would just set me free!! (Sorry for that)

I love the craft, i love studying it, i love the unpredictability, i live everything about it - everyone else just puts doubt in my head, which makes me think theyre all hinting im not talented. Which I know, shouldnt stop me.

I know that drama schools like mature students, but i dont just want to go to uni to get into drama school. Maybe ill never get in and be degree-less and become a youtuber :D
