African kingdoms worth buying?

I got Age of Empires 2 HD edition, after I lost my CD box set of The Conquerors that I'd been playing since I was... 6? Love the game. The package I got came with The Forgotten, but I never really found it worthwhile, or even really used it when I occasionally have a game of AoE 2. Would you say Kingdoms is worth getting, considering I wouldn't get The Forgotten again.
