Bob Page's augmentations

Obviously one of the trademark things about Bob Page is the neural augmentation on his forehead. That's been consistent since DX1 and it's part of what makes him so recognisable. What I don't understand though, is how is he still respected as a major billionaire and celebrity after the Aug Incident? We see magazines and ebooks in MD referencing Bob Page and how he's this really famous billionaire and he's in newspapers promoting Versalife, but with an augmentation so obvious, surely people would start to feel prejudice towards him?

Also, regarding his augmentations themselves; we know he is nanoaugmented by 2052 in DX1, but are the augmentations he has in the prequels nanoaugmentations, or mechanical? I'd doubt that they'd be nanoaugs as they haven't been developed yet?
