College workout tips for a guy who took a large break?
I'm a 165 lb 5'10" male. I played football in high school and hit the gym constantly but had a season ending injury senior year and lost all interest after physical therapy (for the 3rd time). Today I went to the gym at my new college and decided to start up again and turn things around.
I was never really getting the nutrition in high school to really build muscle because our football program didn't have a nutritionist and school lunches were pretty bad/ I never tried hard enough to eat healthier. Now my college has some very nutritious options and I am dedicated to making it work. I'm a decent size and athletic but I want to build more muscle.
I just need tips on when the best times to eat are, what to eat, best college lifts/ workout plans and so on. I have created a schedule and my workout plan but I am no expert and would really like some insight from people who have been doing this a while.
I really want to change myself and enjoy the gym again. Sorry this post is so long but its been almost a year to date since my injury and finally going back has me excited!
