Plants to go with my Afircan Dwarf Frog and tips!

I'm looking for tips on what kind of plants I can grow in a 10 gallon or smaller tank that I will also be keeping my frogs in.

I have had a couple of ADFs for about a year or so now and a miscommunication between my landlord and roomate led to the discover of my aquaponic set up which of course led to 'all fish (and frogs) pets and not allowed.'

I'm trying to get a a few plants to grow in the tank to distract from the frogs and make it look like basically a vase. I'm not sure if I should keep the ten gallon tank or downsize to a 5 gallon or even smaller. I don't get much natural light in my room so plants that thrive in low light would be best.
