I've(15M) been unable to tell my Parents(47F+49M) that I've been suffering depression for years now. They somehow get the impressions that I'm popular and have lots of friends, which I don't have.

Non-Romantic

Ever since around 2 year and a half ago I found myself depressed. It all started in highschool, where many of my friends started to not talk to me and hung out with people besides me. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a rant, I'm not feeling too well right now :/ Can't think straight.

I used to have some friends in middle school, but do know my middle school was a small one.(around 90 people per grade). We would just hang out and call each other a-holes, which was more of an inside joke. In 8th grade, I dont know what I did or whatever happened, my friends just started hating on me. They would sing songs about me and how bad I was or something, don't remember too much details.(This took place in around October) This went on for months, until December when i got into a horrible car accident. I got my shoulder and hip injured, and the car completely totaled. When I went to school the next day, everyone who were assholes to me for the past 2 month suddenly became somehow extremely friendly. I didn't want to be hurt again, so I just stopped hanging out with them. I starting to hang out more with someone I knew from second grade and her friends, but I somehow just didnt fit in with the group. I went from groups to groups of people until I finished 8th grade. Starting highschool, I got really close with a girl(15F) from my second grade friendish person's group. We weren't that close like bf gf like, more like those of brother and a sister. It honestly went pretty well until she met another girl(16F) from her class, who decided to be an asshole and ruin my friendship with her. I eventually got cool with her, and my relationships with the two became somewhat of acquaintances. I went through the last half of the year with these two, and as the school year ended both applied and got into a really good art highschool. I got left, and once again, all alone. I've met people through out the school year here and there, and might have gotten a pretty decent relationship with them, then it somehow just gets all awkward since there isn't anything we could do or talk about together. This continued on even to now, my second year in highschool.

Now, sorry for the back story, but I needed it to get to this point; my parents somehow think I have lots and lots of friends. I do believe this is all mainly my fault, since I play CSGO Competitive, and voice chat on there is like the norm since it's a teamwork based game. The main question from me to you guys is, How do I properly suggest or let my parents know and get the idea I'm not some popular guy nor do I have many friends, but just a depressed person who constantly gets left behind by "friends" and constantly gets backstabbed? Should I approach then directly?

Tl;dr- Lived a cycle of getting new friends and constantly getting backstabbed for reasons I don't know. Ended up with no friends what so ever and suffering depression. Parents gets the impression that Im popular and full of friends, mainly from me talking alot to both myself and people online from random matches in CSGO. Don't know how to properly tell them I'm friendless and depressed.

SHORTER TL;DR-Play lots of CSGO and use voice chat often, parents get the impression I'm full of friends when I dont and am depressed.
