To Awaken Baba Krillin or not?

Hey so was about to awaken my SSR STR Krillin from Baba's shop and I stopped. I'm wondering is it worth keeping him an SSR to keep his cost lower? Or does the extra points to defence out weigh the cost?

After Awakening Team Cost - 15 Defence - 4181 Passive Damage received reduced by 50% Super STR
