Mg34 vs mg42

I currently have the mg34 and absolutely slaughter with it at most ranges. Long range fighting at maybe 200+ meters usually takes me almost a full mag to kill somebody but I almost always win fights in close quarters. Is the mg42 really worth the price tag when compared to the mg34? I'd like to know of it is better at longer ranges than the mg34 as well. Thanks in advance!
