A question regarding the Ingress-Pokemon Go data usage

Afaik it is pretty much confirmed that XM collection/cellular data from Ingress is used to determine Pogo spawns

So, my question is: Does new data collected from Ingress (past the release of Pogo) cause pokemon to spawn in new areas (E.g, if I collected XM for 5 days, would I see an increase of pokemon around my house?)
