Ladies listen to your body.
For God's sake please. So I posted this a week or two ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/BabyBumps/comments/4xql8b/24_weeks_all_i_can_do_is_sleep/ and I was at a breaking point. I was exhausted and my doctors office refused to see me a week early for my appointment. The nurse said to me that it sounds like I'm not suffering from iron deficiency or gestational diabetes because neither would make me sleep so much. She thinks it could be depression. It was the first time I've ever called my doctors office for anything other than my blood hemmorage I had during my SCH and needless to say they pissed me off. So being my doctors office wouldn't see me I took matters into my own hands and went out and bought some iron pills. Just over the counter stuff and began taking them with my prenatal vitamins a week before my appointment. I did begin to notice a difference but during my appointment I still demanded a blood test to check them. Well wouldn't you know my nurse calls me back 4 days later and apparently my iron levels are super low. I did discuss with my doctor that I began taking iron pills a week before my appointment with him the day my blood was drawn. So I brought this back up to the nurse that my levels are still low and that's after me taking iron pills for a week before having my blood drawn. I'm shocked to hear they were still super low but also happy and relieved that it was something that was causing such severe fatigue during my pregnancy. Moral of the story..... Listen to your body. If something seems off then you need to be persistent with your doctor about checking it out. Just don't shrug it off.
