Question on TrinusVR

Does it work well? I'm considering getting a Note 7 and the new Gear VR, although if I do, part of it will be to use with Trinus, as I'd love to get an Oculus, but as a college student soon to be grad student I just don't have the dough for a nice VR setup and a new phone. I heard there were issues in the past with getting usb tethering to work with the gear VR, but I thought I also read someone saying recently that the new Gear VR doesn't have that problem? Maybe I was wrong though. Also what are the disadvantages when compared with an Oculus or Vive? Is head tracking not as great? Can you not "lean" around corners? If that's true will TrackIR remedy that? Can you use TrackIR with it? Thanks so much for any pointers you guys and gals can give :)
