Is Chem 200 and 202 interchangeable for engineers?

I'm a freshman mechanical engineer major and I attended one of the late orientations. Due to this, I hopped on a long wait list for chem 202. I was wondering if chem 200 is acceptable for my major as it is practically the same class and has open seats?
