First Grow - Seedling Critique & Stealth Grow Box
It's my first grow and I think everything is coming along nicely with this seedling. It is a feminized ak-48 (non-autoflower).
I transplanted a rock wool cube into FFOF (with a little perlite & clay pellets) on Wednesday evening last week. Today was the first time I needed to water (although it maybe could have waited until tomorrow). Felt only faintly moist when I stuck my finger in and it was bone dry on top. Light is on 24/0 cycle.
I originally put some clay pellets on top, but took them off after a day since I figured I didn't need any help retaining any moisture at this stage. It looks like it is coming along well to me - anything I need to be worried about?
If anyone is interested in seeing my stealth grow box, here it is. My reasons for stealth may be different than others. I'm married with kids and own my home. Reasons for stealth are just so when I have contractors work on my house or have family/friends over, it is out of sight. Mainly locked so my daughter (or contractors) can't get in.
I have Mylar coming in that will be going up (which is when I will clean up the slight birds nest of cables I have going on in there.
Box is in the basement, so even with light leakage out, none will be coming in.
I didn't factor in the length of the fixture hangers when I cut the exhaust hole for the fan (trying to get as much height as possible). Had to get creative with the placement of the hangers. The poles are there for added support, although they probably aren't 100% necessary - just a precaution.
