Star Citizen worth a go for those who currently own it?

So before I start, I rarely ever buy games to begin with, mainly if they're worth the multiplayer. I know a lot of people are saying not to support preorder, and the last game I ever did was Assassins Creed 2. I've been watching a lot of videos and was wondering if there's still a lot to do or would I be bored after a few days? I know it's in early alpha and they are pretty strong with the community, I really want to get it but wanted to check with everyone for those who have been playing it. Thanks!
