Does a quality, affordable semiauto exist?

I've got the itch to add a semiauto 12ga to my collection of hunting guns but I just can't spend a grand. I've seen plenty of options around 600 or 700 but with very mixed reviews. So tell me about your sub $1k gun and what you like or dislike.
