Improving Return of the Jedi

I love the film in its current state but I think it could be better.

  1. We don't see them infiltrating Jabba's palace one at a time, they do it all together (minus Luke and R2) then get caught by Boba Fett after freeing Han.

  2. Luke is training in Dagobah with Yoda, trying to get info out of him after the revelation on Bespin, he refuses but makes Luke more adept with the force and his instincts as well as his connection to the living force. Weave this between the Tatooine as to add more of a connection to the beginning of the film and the end.

  3. Ben's ghost can guide Luke into creating a new lightsaber.

  4. Senses friends in danger and goes to rescue them, this time Yoda says his training is complete and is ready.

  5. Yoda should be shown to becoming visually sicker, coughing and such

  6. Goes into Jabba's in the same way but R2 with him. Fights Rancor, R2 captured with Luke's lightsaber inside. Jabba declares that Luke's servant shall become his so keeps him as a cup bearer (hence why be would definitely be at the execution)

  7. Execution largely the same except Boba Fett doesn't go out like a bitch. Han isn't blind at this point and Boba goes one on one with him, tries disintegration, loses just narrowly, takes the Sarlacc like a man.

8.Luke still goes back and asks about his father again, says goodbye to Yoda. Finds out about his sister

  1. Luke is already there and ready when the Battle of Endor plans are laid out (his homecoming is just out of place and weird)

  2. Don't spend too long in the forest before running into a colony of Wookies who befriend them, using Han and Chewie to communicate.

  3. Everything else pretty much plays out the same.

  4. None of the horrible special edition changes
