[EVENT]Airplane(s)!
The United States Air Force has complained to Senate about the sorry state of Air National Guard units accompanying USAF missions. They argue that legacy aircraft such as the F-16, F-15 and even A-10 Warthog have no place on the modern battlefield.
More importantly, the Air Force's long range (stealth) strike capabilities are also dwindling.
They have requested the following equipment:
| Type | Number |
|---|---|
| B-21 | 150 |
| F-24 | 240 |
| KC-46 | 50 |
| BU-52 | 25 |
| F-35 | 100 |
| E-10 | 50 |
| E-5 | 4 |
Moreover, the Air Force will be more aggressively recruiting for new pilots, even opening up it's ranks to foreign volunteers from Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands. Depending on the success of the campaign, senior leadership is wondering if a draft might be necessary.
